How Quickly Can I Earn a Bachelor's Degree With National College Counseling Center Support?
First, let me say that the closer we can get you to the finish line through maximum application of the credit you have earned in the past, the quicker you will be able to finish the degree. That includes both traditional college courses that you have taken in the past, as well as application of non-traditional college credit to the degree, such as college credit for professional training from corporations, government agencies, and the military, college credit by examination, credit for professional licenses and certifications, etc. Then, it is up to you to invest the time and energy to progress to degree completion. You set the pace. How much time do you have to dedicate to your studies? That is what will play a major factor in how quickly you can earn a degree.
Here's one example for you to consider - a single young lady who had just graduate from high school, so she had never earned college credit in the past. She desired to attend her local college and wanted our support to help her earn her degree as soon as possible. She started attending her local community college in August 2008. She also began using the resources linked to our student support website, HERC, to earn college credit by examination, taking advantage of the tuition-free courses that were available. She also used the low cost textbook providers, the discounted cost of MS Office that is linked to our site, and even was awarded partial scholarships to cover some of her costs for her degree. In January 2009, she transferred to her local state college to continue her studies, but took off during the Summer
of 2009, as her older sister was getting married that Summer. She did, however, continue to use HERC to earn credit through college level examinations during that Summer. That August, she flew to Germany as a foreign exchange student. attending the Universitat Tubingen near Stuttgart, as arranged by the state college that she was attending. While in Germany, because she did not have access to a national test center to take college exams, she dual-enrolled at one of our participating colleges online - a state college that offered courses online at a low cost (slightly more than a hundred dollars a semester hour). She returned from Germany in the Spring and resumed using HERC as an avenue to earn credit, as well as taking additional courses from the state college online. To make a long story short, in July 2010, two years after starting college, she completed the requirements for a baccalaureate degree, conferred by one of our participating state colleges. Not bad - a 4 year degree in 2-year's time. FYI, she also saved more than $34,000 in tuition and fees that she would have spent, had she completed all the requirements at the local state college where she attended on campus. Not a bad return on investment, when you consider the small one-time fee that we require.
We Are Here For You
