Discover Which Degree Are Right For You To Consider!

For those who are on a quest to find the right degree for them to pursue, Degree Quest is our cutting-edge degree exploration system that can guide them on the pathway to discovering the best options for them to consider. Degree Quest has been used to create more than 400,161 Comprehensive Education Assessments and Degree Plans for students across the nation as of January 1st of 2011. There are thousands of degree plans in Degree Quest from hundreds of accredited colleges and universities across the nation. These cover the full spectrum of education, from high school completion, to undergraduate degrees (Associate's and Bachelor's degrees), and graduate degrees (Master's and doctorate degrees).

The focus of the degrees that we have in the Degree Quest system are those which can be completed at a distance, anytime, anywhere. After all, of the 18.2 million students in college in America, more than 7 million are adult learners over the age of 25, of which, more than 4.6 million are pursuing degrees online. That's 2 out of every 3 adult learners pursuing degrees online and, since our focus is on helping adult learners earn degrees, Degree Quest is perfect for them.

But what about those who are attending their local college and enjoy taking classes on campus? That's where we use Degree Post, our companion system, to build in the degree that each student is pursuing on campus to enable us to provide guidance to students desiring to use our support, systems, and resources to accelerate their progress to a degree while saving time and money along the way.

The colleges and universities that we have in Degree Quest minimize their academic residency requirements, thereby allowing maximum transfer of credit into the curricula of their degrees. They also cater to adult learners and allow significant amounts of their degrees requirements to be met with the application of non-traditional college credit, including college credit for professional training at corporations, businesses and government agencies, college credit for military training and experiences, college credit by examination, college credit for professional licenses and certifications, and credit awarded through Prior Learning Assessment.

We build into Degree Quest electronic education records for each of our students, including every potential source of college credit the student has earned in the past. We then merge the credit earned by the student into the curricula requirements of degrees from our participating colleges across the nation in the subject desired by the student. The system is absolutely amazing to see - at a rate of more than one degree per second, the entire degree plans are populated by the credit earned by the student in the past, then re-arranged to place the best options for consideration at the top of the list. Our staff then open them and optimize the placement of the credit to maximize the use of the credit earned to date, sending the student several of the best options for them to consider. (If you have not taken five minutes to watch the brief demonstration video on this site, you should. It will knock your socks off!)

Change Your Mind? No Problem. Switch Majors

With Degree Quest, Changing the Patway You Are Going Is Easy

Did you know that the U.S. Department of Education has expressed alarm at the high number of students in college full time who do not complete a baccalaureate degree in under six years. Why is that happening? Because students change their major and decide to pursue a different path in life, which leads to them transitioning to a new curriculum that does not allow much of the credit previously earned to apply to the new degree. With our assistance, this can usually be overcome. We can merge the student's academic accomplishments into degrees in our Degree Quest system in the field of study desired by the student. Because our participating colleges allow up to 75% or more of the degree to be fulfilled in transfer, the local college credit can apply to the new degree and often enable the student to stay the course and continue taking courses locally to apply to the new degree. In fact, we have hundreds of degrees where all or nearly all of the degree requirements can be fulfilled in transfer, with the host college conferring the degree when the student has met all the requirements.

We look forward to the opportunity to empower you to explore where you should stand toward thousands of degrees across the nation. You are a future success story for our staff.
