Master's Degrees at a Distance, Anytime, Anywhere
Around 12 percent of the students that we have supported over the past decade have been in pursuit of graduate degrees. When most people think of pursuing a degree, the first thing that comes to mind are the very expensive, private for-profit universities that advertise regularly in the media. There are also numerous state universities and private non-profit or not-for-profit universities offering graduate degrees at a distance. We empower students seeking Master's degrees to explore hundreds of degrees from universities across the nation that can be completed at a distance, anytime, anywhere.
Overcoming Transfer Barriers
If you have previously earned graduate level credit, but have found that most universities are unwilling to accept much, if any, credit in transfer toward their Master's programs, we may be able to help. We will build the credit you've earned into your electronic education record in Degree Quest, then merge it into the curricula requirements of our participating universities to find the best options for you to consider. We even have some of our participating universities that will accept up to half of the requirements for selected Master's degrees in transfer. What can we do to help you?
Avoid the Headaches With Our Support
Graduate Admissions Exam Avoidance
A good many universities require graduate admissions examinations to enter into their Master's programs, including the GRE, GMAT, MAT, and others. If the program of study that you are seeking requires that, we have links on our student support website, HERC, that offer practice tests. However, we have a mechanism built into Degree Quest that allows us to identify those universities that do not require an admissions test. So, if you have not yet experienced the rigorous graduate admissions tests and would like to avoid that headache, tell your counselor at our operation. We can help you identify those that do not require such.
Thesis Avoidance
Although many universities require their students to complete, defend, and publish a thesis, there are a good many prospective students that would like to avoid that headache, if possible. With Degree Quest, we can identify those programs of study that engage the students in a capstone course, rather than a thesis. So, if you want to avoid the pain, let us know and we'll do what we can to help out.
One final note: There are a number of resources on our student support website, HERC, designed to help out our graduate students. These are mentioned in the Graduate Student Handbook found on our Application for Support page on this site.
